ALLMUSIC - LESSONS AND ENTERTAINMENT

AllMusic Lessons and Entertainment is a local music school located in Chester Nova Scotia, serving the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Our teachers are passionate about music, and love to teach and encourage others to be also. We equip our students with the tools they need to be successful in their musical endeavors, whether it be just as a hobby for their personal enjoyment, or to perform in live settings. We want our students to understand music theory, to be able to play multiple styles, as well as to be able to sightread. Most important of all, however, we want to help grow our students’ love of music, for them to enjoy the process of learning, and also for them to be able to play music that they also enjoy. VIOLIN AND FIDDLE LESSONS

At AllMusic we want our students to be able to play the type of music they enjoy. We teach many styles including, but not limited to, classical violin and all fiddle styles, hi Cape Breton, Scottish, and Irish fiddle.

PIANO LESSONS

We teach everything from how to sight read sheet music, to how to play by ear. Our piano lessons are geared to fit whatever style you want to play. By learning musical theory and other foundational elements of music, piano is a very good place to start your musical journey. We structure our lessons to fit the learning style of our students. We start our students on a book geared toward their ages. Our desire for our students is not only that they learn to play the music on the paper in front of them, but also that they learn to feel the music, and have the ability to play music without the piece of music in front of them. We fuse traditional sheet music with practical music theory and ear training, so that our students have a rounded base of skills to help them with their musical aspirations, whether it be playing a band, in church, or just for personal enjoyment

GUITAR AND MANDOLIN

AllMusic Lessons is a great place to start your journey of playing guitar or mandolin. We teach anything from sight reading sheet music, to playing by ear. Come grow your love for the guitar here at Starr Music Company. Guitar is a very personal instrument. It is also one of the most rewarding! It has the “IT” factor – how many famous guitar players can you think of off the top of your head? Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Chet Atkins, and etc. Guitar is almost always one of the feature instruments in any song across many genres. At Starr Music company, our intent is to make you fall in love with guitar. Again, we approach teaching this instrument by building a good base of sight reading, theory, ear training, and technique.
